Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth and the
meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy
sight, O LORD, my strength and my redeemer.
This is a prayer for prayer for hind’s feet in high places,
lining up of what we are saying out loud and what is really
going on inside of us. What is going on in side of us is more
than just what we are thinking inside of our brain. It is
also what is going on inside of our heart. I use the word
heart as in heart to define that organ that beats inside
of you and me which is located inside of my chest cavity.
If my physical brain can hold and transport the thoughts of
my mind, along with its other functions, than that muscle
that is my heart can hold my deepest feelings.
My deepest emotions or feelings will often hide behind my
thoughts like a little child who peeks out behind her
mother’s skirts. They play hide and seek with my thoughts,
afraid that if my thoughts acknowledge them, then, they
might be seen and the truth might fly out of my mouth
before I could stop it.
Truth is truth. It must be acknowledged and dealt with. If the thoughts
of your head are good and honorable, but the deepest parts of your heart
don’t agree with your thoughts, then something’s got to go. This is an
attitude of the heart, which is probably not pleasing to God.
If you are honest with yourself, then you will admit to yourself that it
is not pleasing to you either. This is where prayer surgery comes in.
Ask God to purge you of this aberration. This war between your heart and
mind will cause you to have a short circuit in your prayer life.
If it is the other way around, your heart is right regarding the matter,
but your brain won’t agree, because it wants to please somebody other
than God, the same thing will happen. You will have a short circuit in
your prayer life. This breakage disguises itself as a lack of faith as in
unanswered prayer. The enemy uses this slimy little trick of inner
spiritual warfare to make you think that God doesn’t answer prayer.
Be honest with yourself. Ask yourself what you really think or feel
about a situation. If you can do that, then you are on your way.
Things will begin to line up. When we are lined up inside, then God
can line things up for us on the outside!
